The Solar World Congress 2025 is jointly organized by the International Solar Energy Society, ISES, who has been organizing these congresses for more than 50 years and the local Brazilian section of ISES, ABENS, the Brazilian Solar Energy Association.
About ISES
ISES was founded as a non-profit UN-accredited membership NGO in 1954 and has a long history of being the trusted global advisor on renewable energy. For over 60 years, the members of ISES have undertaken the product research that has helped the renewable energy industry to grow. ISES, through its knowledge sharing and community building programs, helps its global membership provide the technical answers to accelerate the transformation to 100% renewable energy and thereby achieve the following vision: a world with 100% renewable energy for everyone used wisely and efficiently.

About ABENS
The Brazilian Solar Energy Association (ABENS) is a non-profit organization founded on February 17, 1978, with the goal of encouraging, studying and promoting the technical and scientific dissemination of solar energy research and applications in Brazil.
Throughout its more than 45 years of existence, ABENS has had various headquarters and is currently located at the Institute of Energy and Environment of the University of São Paulo.
Its activities include supporting the systematization, improvement, encouragement, and modernization of teaching and research in the field of solar energy; fostering the interaction of individuals, entities, and companies interested in the study, development, and application of solar energy; organizing meetings, courses, and technical-scientific events such as the Brazilian Solar Energy Congress (CBENS), ABENS’ biannual scientific meeting; promoting exchanges with similar national and international organizations; and publishing the Brazilian Solar Energy Journal (RBENS).
In 2011, ABENS became the Brazilian section of the International Solar Energy Society (ISES). Over the years, several ABENS directors have also been members of the ISES Board of Directors, including Prof. João Tavares Pinho, Prof. Samuel Luna de Abreu, Prof. Marcelo Pinho Almeida, Prof. Ricardo Rüther, and recently Dr. Aline Kisten Vidal de Oliveira, the current President of ABENS.
